| A Gathering for Literary Lovers The Forwardian Arts Society Literary Gatherings are held to provide opportunities for writers to share their work and gain feedback on their endeavors. All literary forms and topics are welcomed as are those who consider themselves Non-Writers wishing only to experience some new works as read by our participants. Musicians are welcomed to many of our gatherings as well. A Gathering for Photography Lovers The Forwardian Arts Society Photography Lovers Gatherings are held to provide opportunities for those disciplined in the art of Photography to share their work and gain feedback on their endeavors. All Photographers of any level of expertise are welcomed. Some gatherings may include meeting at an event, taking pictures, and sharing them with one another. A Gathering for Film Lovers The Forwardian Arts Society “Film and Chat Gatherings” are held the first Friday of the month at The Pocono Community Theater*** in East Stroudsburg, PA during their late afternoon screenings. These gatherings provide an opportunity for participants to share in viewing a film and discuss it afterwards in the theater’s coffee house area. A free beverage will be provided to those wishing to participate in the discussion. All film lovers are welcomed. The Most Recent “Film and Chat Gathering” took place Friday March 5th featuring the 4:30pm showing of the film entitled, “Alice In Wonderland.” You’ll find The Forwardian Arts Society Film Review of this movie along with pictures taken during the gathering on Myspace, facebook, and Bloggers. Films to be viewed and discussed are selected by those who are Passionate Art Lovers of The Forwardian Arts Society and those who are members of The Forwardian Arts Society “The Independent Film Society” Group on Facebook. A Gathering for Visual Art Lovers The Forwardian Arts Society Visual Art Gatherings are held to provide opportunities for Painters, Sculptors, and other similarly disciplined Artists to share their work and gain feedback on their endeavors. All creators of 2 and 3 dimensional forms are welcomed as are those who consider themselves Non-Artists wishing only to experience some new works as shared by our participants. Some gatherings may include a gallery talk presented by an exhibiting artist whose work is being shown in the gallery we meet. A Gathering for Lovers of the Performing Arts The Forwardian Arts Society Theater and Dance Gatherings are held to provide opportunities for those disciplined in the arts of Dance and Theatre to share their work and gain feedback on their endeavors. All Actors, Dancers, Directors, Choreographers, and anyone who love the art of movement and interpretation are welcomed. Some gatherings may include play readings sessions leading to staged reading performances along with full productions along with explorations in the form of dance leading to presentations. A Gathering for Music Lovers The Forwardian Arts Society Music Lovers Gatherings are held to provide opportunities for those disciplined in the art of Music to share their work and gain feedback on their endeavors. All Singers, Song writers, Musicians, and anyone who love the creation of harmonious sounds are welcomed. Some gatherings may include play jam and open mic sessions depending on the venue where we meet. |
